Delta Force’s security team says it has found a large number of players abusing matchmaking to move supplies between matches in illegal RMT transactions. In response, the team will fully recover all Tekniq Alloys gained this way.
What the Delta Force Security Team Found
In its Steam announcement, “G.T.I. Security | Penalties for RMT”, the security team says it will impose appropriate restrictions on anyone found cheating or breaching the terms of service. It reports that a large number of players were maliciously manipulating the matchmaking mechanism to move supplies between game matches.
The team says this behavior severely undermined the fairness of the in-game environment.
Queue Sniping and Supply Movement
According to the announcement, these illegal Delta Force RMT transactions primarily involved moving supplies through queue sniping. The source does not go into further detail on how the method works.
Penalty: Tekniq Alloys Will Be Fully Recovered
The security team states it will fully recover all Tekniq Alloys gained through such transactions. The announcement does not give figures for affected accounts or a date for enforcement.
Developers also point to wider consequences for rule-breaking. Actions include, but are not limited to:
- Permanent account bans
- IP ban notifications both in and out of game
For more on how the team has handled earlier violations, see our coverage of the Delta Force notice of penalties for violations.
Zero-Tolerance Policy
The developers say they maintain a zero-tolerance policy against any violation of game rules. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of plugins, illegal software, misconduct, and malicious exploitation of loopholes or bugs. Once such behavior is discovered, the team says it will immediately launch an investigation and take appropriate action.
What Players Should Do
The security team says it will continue to act against all violations. It calls on all Operators to abide by the rules of the game and help maintain a fair gaming environment.
