Counter-Strike 2 Update Adds Silent Reload Toggle Option

Valve has pushed a new Counter-Strike 2 update that adds a silent reload toggle option, giving players more control over Silent Reload Mode. The patch lets you choose between Hold and Toggle, and it also fixes a reload sound leak, an AMD rendering bug and some demo playback issues.

Silent Reload Toggle: New Hold or Toggle Option

The update adds an option to switch Silent Reload Mode between Hold and Toggle. This is the headline change for players who use silent reloads, since it changes whether you need to keep the reload button pressed.

How Toggle Silent Reload Works

With toggle enabled, once a silent reload starts you can let go of the reload button. If you want to cancel a silent reload and go back to a fast reload, you simply tap the reload button again.

Reload Sound Leak Fixed

Valve has also fixed various cases where the first sound of a reload was audible regardless of whether a player had requested a silent reload.

AMD Black Liquid Rendering Bug Fixed

A bug that could cause liquid to render as black on AMD video cards has been fixed in this CS2 patch.

Demo Playback Rewind Fixes

Some sound and UI bugs that appeared when rewinding during demo playback have also been fixed.
