Counter-Strike 2 Update Reworks Demo Viewer Camera Controls

Valve has released a new Counter-Strike 2 update that changes the demo and replay viewer with a download progress bar and click-and-drag camera controls. The patch also updates AUG reload animations, changes a server startup requirement and includes Vulkan renderer stability improvements.

Demo and Replay Viewer Improvements

The CS2 demo viewer update adds a progress bar for demo and replay downloads. Camera controls now use a click-and-drag scheme.

The free camera and chase camera are now usable during a paused demo. Valve also fixed some minor issues when seeking to a different position in the demo file.

AUG Reload Animation Update

The AUG’s reload animations for standing and crouch reloads have been updated to better match the new reload duration.

Round Backup Files Need a Server Flag

Round backup files now require the game server startup flag -allow_round_backup_files.

Radio Commands, Workshop Tools and Vulkan Stability

Allowed radio commands now have an explicit list. The toolsskybox_occluder tool material has been added for CS2 Workshop Tools. Valve also made stability improvements for the Vulkan renderer.
