EA and Battlefield Studios have published their September anti-cheat report for Battlefield 6, and the numbers show the Match Infection Rate (MIR) holding roughly flat while EA Javelin blocked hundreds of thousands of cheat attempts. Here is what the latest Battlefield 6 anti-cheat update reveals about how many matches are still affected by cheaters.
Battlefield 6 Match Infection Rate in September
The update, signed by BF_SledgeHammer, notes that Season 4 was well underway in September. According to the team, a number of new detection vectors were added, tied to pivots from cheating communities. The developers say these changes helped stabilize infection rates, and they are preparing more significant enhancements for coming updates.
MIR measures the percentage of matches across the title that were negatively impacted by at least one cheater. It includes every suspected cheater reported by players, even those where there is not yet enough evidence to enforce a penalty.
How MIR Moved Through the Month
The previous August update ended with MIR at 3.24%, and the rate stabilized at 3.51% at the start of September. From there, the Battlefield 6 Match Infection Rate stayed relatively flat. It peaked at 3.64% on September 2nd and bottomed out at 3.27% on September 10th. As of this update, it stood at 3.41%.
The developers point readers to their January update for a deeper explanation of how and why MIR shifts occur.
EA Javelin Anti-Cheat Blocked 439,945 Attempts
Throughout September, EA Javelin Anti-Cheat prevented 439,945 attempts to cheat or tamper with the game before they could affect matches.
Cheat Vendors and Communities Under Pressure
The team is currently tracking 111 active cheat-related programs, hardware solutions, vendors, resellers and their associated communities, an increase of one from the previous count. Of those, 107 (up two) are reporting feature failures, detection notices, downtime, or have fully taken their cheats offline, which works out to 96.39%.
What’s Next for Battlefield 6 Anti-Cheat
The studio says more significant enhancements will be deployed with coming updates. No specific timelines or features were detailed in this report, so players will need to wait for further announcements.
