After a close contest, Deadlock Baba is now available. New York’s notorious pigeon lady has left her favorite perch in Central Park to join the fight on the city streets.
Meet Baba, Deadlock’s Newest Hero
Tourists might not think much of Baba sitting on her bench, sipping tea and talking to her birds, but locals have long suspected something more brews beneath the surface. Now she joins Deadlock’s roster of playable heroes.
Baba’s Abilities: Threadsap, Brews and The Birds
Here is what the announcement reveals about Baba’s abilities:
- Threadsap: A chaotic spool of yarn that steals the spirit of her enemies, granting Baba greater power.
- Brews: At tea time, you might find yourself splashed with one of Baba’s Brews, and some are much sweeter than others.
- The Birds: When tea time is over, The Birds come out to play.
As Baba declares: “They think they know magic? Oh I’ll show ’em some magic.”
Baba’s Living Bench and Playstyle
While her legs might not be what they used to be, Baba’s trusty bench comes to life with a creak of metal, allowing her to run, jump and kick with impressive vigor. The announcement doesn’t include numbers such as damage or cooldowns, so you’ll need to try her in-game to see how her kit performs.
Ranked Season 1 End Date Pushed Back to November 5
The Deadlock Ranked season end date for the first season has been pushed back to Thursday, November 5th, 2026 at 2pm PDT. The next season starts immediately after.
Another Hero Reveal Coming Friday
Baba and her pigeons are available now. The next hero will be introduced on Friday at 2pm PDT, the Friday following the October 6, 2026 announcement, so stay tuned for the next Deadlock hero reveal.
