AION 2 players can move characters between servers starting after maintenance on Tuesday, October 13 (PDT) / Wednesday, October 14, 2026 (CEST). The AION 2 server transfer is free except for additional character slots, which cost 1,000 Quna each. With strict eligibility rules and a one-transfer-per-account limit, careful preparation is essential before you commit.
When the Server Transfer Window Opens
The service rolls out in two staggered phases. Early Access servers open first, followed by Launch servers one week later.
- Early Access servers: After maintenance on Tuesday, October 13 (PDT) / Wednesday, October 14, 2026 (CEST), through before maintenance on Tuesday, October 20 (PDT) / Wednesday, October 21, 2026 (CEST)
- Launch servers: After maintenance on Tuesday, October 20 (PDT) / Wednesday, October 21, 2026 (CEST), through before maintenance on Tuesday, October 27 (PDT) / Wednesday, October 28, 2026 (CET)
Transfer items are available in the In-Game Shop under [Server Transfer]. The purchase button only activates once your character meets all transfer requirements. Note that purchase windows vary by region and operate only during specific daily hours.
How Much the AION 2 Server Transfer Costs
The base service carries no charge: 0 Quna, once per account. You also pay nothing per character transferred. The only cost arises if the destination server has fewer available character slots than you need: 1,000 Quna per additional slot.
As an example, transferring 6 characters to a destination server with only 4 open slots requires an additional 2,000 Quna to create space for the remaining two characters.
Regional Purchase Hours
Purchases are only available during specific daily windows for your region:
- North America East, North America West, and South America: Daily 09:00–13:00 and 15:00–19:00 PDT (18:00–22:00 and 00:00–04:00 the next day CEST/CET)
- Europe: Daily 03:00–07:00 and 09:00–13:00 PDT (12:00–16:00 and 18:00–22:00 CEST/CET)
- Asia: Daily 20:00 to 00:00 (next day) and 02:00–06:00 PDT (05:00–09:00 and 11:00–15:00 CEST/CET)
AION 2 Server Transfer Requirements and Restrictions
Not every character qualifies for transfer. Since you only get one transfer per account during the entire period, verify that your character meets all conditions before spending Quna.
Your character must meet these conditions:
- Level 10 or higher
- Currently located in a village (not in the Abyss, a Spacetime Rift, or a dungeon)
- Not a member of a Legion and have no pending Legion membership application
- Have no active Duty Missions
Your account and character must have no unclaimed items or currency:
- Items registered for sale on the Market, items pending collection, or proceeds not yet received
- Unclaimed items in Shop Storage, including the Founder’s Pack
- Unclaimed mail in the mailbox of the character you want to transfer
Transfer limitations:
- Transfers are only possible within the same faction and the same region
- Early Access servers can only transfer to other Early Access servers
- Each account gets one transfer from one server to another during the entire period, but you can move any number of characters in that single transfer
- Transfer is blocked if the departure or destination server has reached its transfer capacity limit
- Transfers may be temporarily restricted to maintain server stability
What Transfers With Your Character
Currency and storage: Only Kina held in your Cube inventory and Character Storage transfers to the destination server. Kina stored in Server Storage does not move. Quna and Mileage transfer and are added to amounts already on the destination server. Items stored in Server Storage do not transfer; only the expansion slot records do, and whichever server has the higher expansion count applies. Move any items you need into your character’s inventory or Character Storage before transferring.
Character progression: Your Abyss Points, Skills, Stigmas, Quests, and Exploration data all transfer. Daevanion, Season Ranking Points, and Season Mission progress move with your character. Attendance records also transfer. Titles and Achievements are combined with those on the destination server and reset on your origin server.
Character name: Your character name is changed to @TemporaryName. You set a new name when you first log in to the character after transfer. If your previous name already exists on the destination server, you cannot reclaim it.
Membership and Daeva Pass: An active Membership is merged with the Membership on the destination server. Your Daeva Pass transfers with its progress intact.
Pets, skins, and collections: Special Pets and Skins purchased from the Shop generally transfer. If you already own the same Special Pet on the destination server, you keep it only there and receive a Pet Reward Ticket. With that ticket you can request a refund through Customer Support for the Pet purchased on your origin server; refunds are not available after the ticket expires on regular maintenance on Tuesday, November 24 (PST) / Wednesday, November 25 (CET). Duplicate non-customizable Skins give you a Skin (Single) Reward Ticket, valid until the same date, which you can use to purchase the “300 Quna” item in the Shop. If you already own duplicate Pets or non-customizable Skins purchased from the Pass Shop on the destination server, Pass Coins are refunded. Pets, Closet items and Theostones are combined with those on the destination server and reset on your origin server. You can choose either your current server’s Genus Insight or the destination server’s version; your origin server’s Insight resets regardless.
Lists and records: The Friends List, Friends Blocked List, Market History, Crafting Records, Substance Morph Records, Gathering Proficiency Level, and Registered Styles all transfer. Your Mail Block List does not transfer.
Important Notes Before You Confirm
A completed transfer cannot be canceled or reverted. When the transfer begins, you are returned to the title screen and your account cannot log in during processing. A transfer takes at least 1 minute and may take longer depending on the number of transfer requests.
If you use the PURPLE platform, you will receive a PURPLE PUSH notification when your transfer is complete. This service may be offered again in the future in the same or a similar form.
