AION 2 Restricts 12,586 Accounts in Latest Sweep

The AION 2 Team says it continuously monitors in-game activity and the wider service environment to keep the game fair. Following a thorough review, 12,586 accounts were restricted. The stated reason falls under the Operation Policy’s Sanctions Table, covering gold farming and bot operations, use of unauthorized programs, and real-money trading. For earlier coverage, see our previous AION 2 account restrictions announcement.

Which Violations Were Targeted

The announcement lists two main categories of enforcement:

  • Botting and gold farming: use of macros, bots or other unauthorized programs, along with organized play patterns consistent with gold farming or RMT.
  • Economy abuse: abnormal trading patterns that disrupt the in-game economy.

Restrictions are applied only after review and in line with the Operation Policy.

Normal Play and Long Grinding Are Not Affected

NC stresses that normal play, including long grinding sessions, is not affected by this action.

What Are Temporary Security Locks?

Separately from the restrictions, a small number of accounts were temporarily locked as a precaution. These locks apply when access is detected from a device or connection that may pose a security risk, such as a possible account compromise. The team is clear that a security lock is not a penalty. It exists to protect the account and its items until the situation can be verified, and affected players are asked to contact Customer Support to regain access.

What to Do If Your Account Was Restricted or Locked

If you believe your account was restricted or locked in error, submit a ticket through Customer Support as soon as possible. Each request is reviewed individually. Useful resources:
