AION 2 Account Restrictions Hit a Reported 10,000 Accounts

The AION 2 team has announced account restrictions targeting players found in violation of the game’s Operation Policy. The enforcement action took effect on October 12 at 23:00 PDT (October 13 at 08:00 CEST), and the announcement lists a figure of 10,000 accounts, shown in brackets. The restrictions focus on botting, gold farming, unauthorized programs, and economy-disrupting trading patterns.

What Triggered the Account Restrictions

The restrictions targeted two specific categories of misconduct:

  • Botting and gold farming: use of macros, bots, or other unauthorized programs, as well as organized play patterns consistent with gold farming or real-money trading (RMT).
  • Economy abuse: abnormal trading patterns that disrupt the in-game economy.

The AION 2 team emphasized that restrictions are applied only after review, in line with the Operation Policy. Normal gameplay, including long grinding sessions, is not affected.

Security Locks Are Different from Restrictions

Separately, a small number of accounts were temporarily locked as a precaution when access was detected from a device or connection posing a potential security risk, such as a possible account compromise.

A security lock is not a penalty. It protects your account and items until the situation can be verified. If your account is locked, contact Customer Support to restore access.

  • Date and time: October 12 (Monday) at 23:00 PDT / October 13 (Tuesday) at 08:00 CEST
