According to the team, AION 2 account restrictions are applied only after review, and normal play, including long grinding sessions, is not affected.
AION 2 Account Restrictions: What Happened
The AION 2 team says it continuously monitors in-game activity and the overall service environment. Following a thorough review, it restricted a number of accounts found to be in violation of the Operation Policy. The team framed the action as part of keeping AION 2 fair for everyone.
Who Was Targeted: Botting, Gold Farming and Economy Abuse
The team named two categories of violation:
- Botting and gold farming: use of macros, bots or other unauthorized programs, and organized play patterns consistent with gold farming or real-money trading (RMT).
- Economy abuse: abnormal trading patterns that disrupt the game economy.
The team stressed that restrictions are applied in line with the Operation Policy, and that normal play, including long grinding sessions, is not affected.
Temporary Security Locks Are Not Bans
Separately from the restrictions above, a small number of accounts were temporarily locked as a precaution. The team says this happens when it detects access from a device or connection that poses a potential security risk to the account, such as a possible account compromise.
A security lock is not a penalty. It protects the account and its items until the situation can be verified. Players affected by a lock should contact Customer Support to restore access.
