iRacing’s 2026 Season 4 Patch 2 (build 2026.11.02.01) arrived after planned downtime, bringing new pit error messages to the widgets, a longer wait timer for drivers starting from the pits, and a broad set of fixes across Race Control, the user interface, controls, cars and tracks. The patch also teases multiple pace car multiclass starts, which iRacing says it is still assessing for the closing weeks of the current season. If you missed the previous update, see our iRacing 2026 Season 4 Patch 1 coverage.
Race Control changes and multiple pace car multiclass starts
The wait timer that holds participants starting from the pits has been increased at all tracks. The goal is smoother traffic flow as those drivers join racers already on track.
When DNC Cautions are in use, a fix stops a car’s next lap crossing from being counted incorrectly when a caution is started on the first lap ahead of the leader. Scoring is also corrected for cautions thrown during the start of a Feature race.
Several fixes prepare the multiple pace car multiclass starts feature:
- Improved pace car pacing behavior in restart zones.
- The spotter no longer tells you to catch a random car number while pacing.
- “Maintain Speed” no longer shows erroneously for a class as their pace car crosses the finish line.
- At road courses with split start and finish lines, slow down messages now appear in the pace order UI after a pace car crosses the finish line.
iRacing says it is assessing the timing and placement of enabling this feature in the closing weeks of the season, and asks players to stay tuned for which Official Series may get it.
User interface and pit widget updates
The Pit Speed Widget gains toggleable pit errors such as “Too Far Left!” and “Too Much Damage!”. When both pit errors and the pit lane map are enabled, the errors replace the map. The Pit Summary Widget also gets an option to show pit errors, though it defaults to off, so errors appear in the Pit Speed Widget first.
Other UI fixes include:
- Vehicles entering the Silverstone GP pit lane no longer fly around the Track Map Widget inaccurately.
- The optional repair display in the Pit Summary Widget now resets when the car is reset.
- The Damage Report Widget no longer disappears after a start zone in certain circumstances.
- An issue with the Driver Inputs pop-out’s steering and speed settings is fixed.
- The Camera Tool’s full FOV range on triple screens is available without opening Settings first.
- A Simulator crash when saving a HUD profile on a triple monitor setup rendered separately is fixed.
- Checkboxes no longer sit outside the interface bounds when a time value reaches four digits.
- The pace car now appears at the top of the Focus Car Selection menu.
Controls: new Simucube flag
Simucube users get a new flag, [Force Feedback] simucubeTreatLinkPortAsWheel=1. Setting it to 0 stops iRacing from checking whether a Simucube link port has a wheel connected. This can help when you run Simucube active pedals without a Simucube wheel and force feedback is being shut off by mistake.
Car fixes: BMW M2, Super Formula SF23, Porsche 963 GTP and more
- BMW M2 Racing (G87): Increased drivetrain inertia addresses rear-end lock-up after rapid successive upshifts and instant spin-outs when double shifting from fifth to seventh.
- Super Formula SF23: Tech Inspection changes prevent cars from failing with no visible reason in the garage.
- Porsche 963 GTP: Mid-section damage is now shown correctly in the Car Damage Widget.
- Porsche 911 Cup (992.2): The correct vehicle model and windshield wipers now appear at certain camera distances.
- [Legacy] NASCAR Cup Series Gen 6: Scrape damage progression on the nose mounts has been adjusted.
- EURO NASCAR V8GP: Heavy steering loads and oscillations over 3D curbing are fixed.
- Caterham 420R: A moon launch or Simulator crash in certain collisions is fixed, and a garage menu typo is corrected.
- Dirt Sprint Car: Brake bias is no longer unintentionally available through control bindings.
- Dirt Big Block Modified: Updated setups fix ride height failures.
- Supercars – 2019: An obsolete lightmap has been removed.
Track fix and audio improvements
At Road Atlanta, visual popping of the brake markers at Turn 10 has been fixed. On the audio side, processing of audio device changes and failures has been improved to prevent Simulator errors.
