Respawn has pulled the night version of E-District from all Apex Legends map rotations, and the day version is rotating in as its replacement. The change arrives with the Apex Legends update dated 11/6/2026, and the developers say they are reworking the Apex Legends E-District night map to keep its neon-soaked look while making it easier to see.
E-District Night Removed, Day Version Rotates In
With this update, the night variant of E-District no longer appears in any map rotation. In its place, the daytime version of E-District is being added to the pool while the night map is reworked.
Why Respawn Pulled the Night Map
According to the developer note, the problem was visibility. Respawn says it is working on a handful of high-impact changes to improve visibility on E-District night, and thanks players for their continued feedback.
Planned Visibility Fixes: Fog and Color Balance
The team says it still wants to deliver the fantasy and atmosphere of a neon-soaked city, but without compromising visibility. The planned adjustments include:
- Reduced fog density
- Increased fog distance
- Adjusted color balance
When E-District Night Is Expected Back
Respawn says the improved E-District night map will return later this split. The developers anticipate reimplementing it near the end of the month, though no exact date has been given.
What It Means for Players
For now, players will see E-District only in its daytime form. Because the developer note describes the night map as being improved rather than permanently removed, it is expected to return once the fog and color changes are in place.
