Deadlock Halloween 2026: Candy Cauldrons and Mid-Boss Overhaul

Deadlock’s Halloween 2026 event is live now and runs through November 2nd, 2026, bringing spooky decorations, masked heroes and pumpkins scattered across NYC. But the bigger story arrives alongside it: a sweeping gameplay update that reworks the Mid-Boss and Rejuvenator and reshapes items and heroes across the roster.

Deadlock Halloween 2026: Cauldrons, Candy and Sugar Rush

The Hideout has received a spooky new look, the heroes have put on masks, and the streets of Manhattan are now dotted with pumpkins. The headline addition is the new Halloween Cauldron. Walk past one during a match and smash it with a Heavy Melee to pocket a piece of Candy. When you need a lift, eat the candy to trigger the temporary Sugar Rush buff for a burst of energy.

Deadlock Mid-Boss and Rejuvenator Changes

The Mid-Boss receives the most significant changes in this update. Its arena has been reshaped to be a little larger with more cover, and its health and health gained per minute both rise by 20%. Resistance reductions are now only half as effective against it, and its Roar now triggers at 25% HP instead of 50%.

The Rejuvenator has been reworked too. Instead of a single crystal in the center, three crystals now appear at random positions evenly spaced around the Mid-Boss pit. Each crystal breaks in one Heavy Melee and grants the team a Rejuvenator, so the total per kill stays at three. The full heal now applies to every crystal rather than only the first hit, and each crystal awards its breaker a bounty of 500 +9/min. Crystal drop time has also been extended from 6 to 7.5 seconds.

On the other side of the ledger, the Mid-Boss bounty drops from 3000 (+50/min) to 1500 (+25/min).

Haunts, Comeback Mechanics and General Changes

  • Haunts gain 10% more base bounty and growth, plus 10% more HP and damage output.
  • Haunted Souls secure 25% slower, but can now secure up to 50% faster when your team is well behind in Net Worth.
  • Comeback gold from non-hero sources rises to a maximum of 30%, up from 26%.
  • Healing Snacks now restore 14% Max HP, up from 10%, and Steam Vents boost stamina regeneration by 150%.
  • Breakable growth values are down 10%, and move speed in tunnels is reduced from +70% to +50%.
  • The six most recent heroes are no longer marked as new, so they follow normal ranked unlock rules and can now be banned.

Item Balance Changes

Several items see notable adjustments. High-Velocity Rounds lose a chunk of bullet velocity, while Shadow Weave drops its Ambush Fire Rate and Melee Damage in favor of +50% Ambush Weapon Damage that builds over six seconds of stealth. Spirit Sap gets a longer cooldown and shorter range, Divine Barrier’s cooldown rises to 55 seconds, and Healbane now stacks from multiple sources with diminishing returns. Battle Vest and Juggernaut both receive buffs to their core stats.

Hero Changes: Mirage, Apollo, Baba and More

Among the heroes, Mirage’s Traveler gets a reworked ability with a longer channel time and new upgrade effects, Apollo’s Riposte Pommel Hit switches from a stun to an immobilize, and Baba’s Brew gains a randomized order. For more on recent changes to her, see our earlier Baba and Deadman Danny balance update. Several gun-focused heroes see base damage adjustments, including Abrams (up 5%), Drifter (up 3%), Nurse Harrow (down 10%), Paige (reduced base damage with higher growth) and Rat King (lower base damage and grenade damage). Mo & Krill lose spirit per boon and 10% ability spirit damage but gain 4% bullet damage per boon, while Graves has his move speed cut from 7 to 6.7 and bullet damage per boon reduced by 4%.
