Apex Legends’ anti-cheat team has deployed fixes for multiple high-profile weapon exploits this week, including ones shown in videos that circulated in community spaces earlier in the week. The Apex Legends exploit fix is part of the team’s ongoing work to protect competitive integrity.
Multiple Weapon Exploits Fixed
The fixes were announced in the anti-cheat team’s update dated October 9, 2026, under the heading “Competitive Integrity Update – Weapon Exploit Fixes.” The team noted that players may have seen the exploit videos circulating in the community.
Full Magazine Fired in a Single Shot
One of the exploits allowed an entire magazine to be fired in a single shot. The anti-cheat team says a fix for it is now deployed. The update does not name the weapon or weapons involved.
Sentinel and C.A.R. SMG Rapid-Fire Issue
A separate exploit enabled rapid firing and reloading with the Sentinel and C.A.R. SMG beyond their intended functionality. This has also been fixed. The update gives no technical details on how either exploit worked.
Broader Anti-Cheat and Integrity Work Continues
The team describes these fixes as part of broader efforts to protect the integrity of Apex Legends. It says it continues to:
- Develop and deploy new anti-cheat detections
- Strengthen existing systems
- Take action against players who undermine fair play
According to the team, this work is ongoing across multiple fronts, even when individual efforts are not immediately visible. For earlier updates, see our coverage of the previous anti-cheat team report.
